  • TEAM Lab Technician

    The TEAM Lab is currently seeking individuals that enjoy working in a hands-on environment and enjoy learning and helping others learn how to use manufacturing and fabrication equipment (including lathes, mills, hand tools and power tools). Prior experience is preferred but not required; all staff complete in-depth training. We are looking for people to work fall and spring semesters (mornings would be great but not necessary). Scheduling is flexible. Summer and winter break employment may also be available. The ideal candidate would be willing to work for at least three semesters. Applicants must be a UW-Madison or Madison College student enrolled in the current semester. Women, underrepresented students, and freshman are especially encouraged to apply.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Assisting individuals with their projects
    • Monitoring work performed in the space
    • Teaching individuals how to use equipment
    • Checking out tools and equipment
    • Maintenance and other Misc. tasks

    Available hours per week:

    10 – 20 hours, between 8am and 9pm Monday – Thursday, Friday 8am – 4pm. Until 10pm Monday – Thursday and a few Saturdays the last few weeks of semester

    Starting Hourly Wage:

    $10.00 – $12.00 (depending on experience)
