I grew up on a small farm in Marshall WI. After graduation from high school in 1991 I attended MATC where I was enrolled in the Machine Tool Technics.  After receiving a two year technical diploma I started my career by working at a tool and die shop. While working at the tool and die shop I served an apprenticeship and eventually became a Journeyman tool and die maker.  In 2006 I changed my career path and started working at the UW Physical Sciences Lab (PSL).  While I was at PSL I did a variety of jobs ranging from making and welding UHV  assemblies to making sleds and equipment that went to the South Pole. In 2013 I transferred to the College of Engineering where I continue to weld and machine. In my spare time away from work I enjoy Midget and Sprint car racing
